CYO TRACK Spring 2025
CYO TRACK has been running" since 1936. Boys and girls of the school compete and race against other parish kids from all over Westchester. All are welcome. Due to the dedicated volunteers and the nature of the sport, children are able to develop their skills through self-discipline and performance measures. Again, dating back to the start in the 30’s, it was common to see some duels between the top CYO and AAU athletes in the old Madison Square Garden. Today, the program has grown both in quantity and quality. It is now being offered in 6 counties and ends at Icahn Stadium with the Archdiocese Championships. Over 30 teams and 500 aspiring track athletes attended the championships at Icahn Stadium last year. Overall, the program is serving 1400 athletes in all counties of the archdiocese.
