Basketball Winter CYO Program

What aged players are appropriate for this program?

Example: 3rd through 8th grade boys and girls, plus high school CYO teams!

What time of the year does this program run?

Season begins weekend of Nov 22nd. This is first possible date of play. Not all teams may start 11/22 weekend. Regular season runs until first weekend of Feb 2026. There will be no games played over Thanksgiving weekend (Nov 29/30, as well as no games from 12/26-12/28/25. There may be games Jan 3 and 4th 2026. County playoffs begin Feb 21, 2026.

Where are practices and games typically held?

Example: Home games and practices are held at Annunciation gym and Our Lady of Fatima gym. Away games are played at parishes all over Westchester and Putnam.

When are practices and how often are they?

Example: Teams practice once during the week & once on weekends. Weekend practices end Nov 16th when the gyms are then used to host home games for our 25+ teams. Teams may practice over holiday breaks and/or when school is not in session.

How many games will they play? What days of the week?

Example: Teams will play a 12 game regular season on weekends, plus playoffs if applicable. Our teams also participate in some tournaments over holiday weekends.

Are uniforms provided or are they purchased separately?

Example: 3rd graders must purchase new uniforms. Please click yes to needing a new uniform and email size to annunciationfatimacyo@gmail.com

Any children that outgrew their uniform from prior seasons must purchase a new one. Uniforms may be kept for several years.

What costs beyond registration fees should be expected?

Example: Uniforms plus any tournaments outside your regular season schedule that your team may enter. Non-parishioners pay an extra fee.
